Machine Room Door! This is the other ENOR Traction Lift/Elevator aboard the Interislander Ferry Aratere in New Zealand. This lift is pretty much identical to the other one apart from the buttons being on the other side. I show a brief look of deck 6 at the end of the video where you can see the machine room door! The machine room of the other lift can also be seen being identical to this one, just on the other side of the boat (1:55). The main doors to this lift area are locked during sailing but I managed to find another way in - down the side of deck 5! Both lifts get extremely busy during loading and unloading!
