Yuko shows how to cook Mapo Tofu with a little twist! As it is sometimes quite difficult to find Chinese condiments to cook it properly, she came up with the Japanese alternative using Miso, Soy sauce and chilli oil. Please enjoy it with white steamed rice!! If you are a vegan, by replacing pork mince with quorn mince, you can easily make it vegan Mapo Tofu :) Ingredients: Tofu (soft one if available) Spring onions Brown sugar Miso Chilli oil Potato starch Pork mince (or quorn mince if you are a vegan!) Cooking sake Soy sauce Sesame oil Garlic powder Crushed chillies ... and Sushi rice!
