The Smokeyard Low and Slow Smoked American BBQ Poblacion Makati: Angus Beef Brisket Baby Back Ribs. The Smokeyard was opened on June 13, 2016 is a labor of love by owner and pitmaster Troy Conine who has dedicated a majority of his career as a hotel restaurant manager including stints at the Tivoli at the Mandarin Oriental Manila as well as hotels in New York City before going to barbeque school and training under legendary pit master Mike Mills in Sounthern Illinois. After moving back to Manila he setup this casual dining American BBQ Smokehouse serving low and slow smoked meats including Baby Back Ribs, Pork Belly, Pulled Pork, US Brisket, Beef Ribs, chicken and sausages and a selection of craft beers. Highly recommended are the Angus Beef Brisket and Baby Back Ribs which are smoked for 12 hours using apple and hickory wood. Their pork Ribs are done Memphis Style with a dry rub so are less messy to eat than wet and cooked until they practically fall of the bone. We prefer to weigh our desired meats per 50 grams at the counter, but you may also order solo plates or sandwiches, or get pre set platters with sidings and they also have lunch specials from 12PM – 5PM.
