Old Rusty Bearded Axe Restoration

Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. When I was seen that axe, I instantly made decision to bought it. I never seen before this shape of axe and also never had. So, start to restoration! I removed axe old handle and used electrolysis to remove dirty, rust and muck. After I used angle grinder to remove black color and some patina. But after grinding I found that the axe has a lot of holes and indentations with blackness and I made decision to use an iron chloride to hide all the black spots and make the same surface. Further I used ash tree wood to make an axe handle. Also, for lanyard I made a hole with diameter 10 mm and put in it an aluminum rivets with hole.
