The morning rush to the lake today ended up being in two separate waves, there seems to be group of ducks that hang around at the rear of the morning rush to the lake. I can’t believe all the frogs on the property this year which makes no sense considering the ducks are eating the frogs. Got 4 eggs today in the barn I’m going through very serious egg withdrawals here so Im going to get my egg fix now. Ducks came home early today from the lake, some Canada Geese were on the lake and domestic ducks are afraid of wild geese. The wild ducks keep coming into the yard with the flock they walk home with them from the lake, everyday more and more are going to show up here. The 5 pm feeding frenzy doesn’t last too long maybe 10-15 minutes at the most, not all the ducks are hungry when they come home from the lake. The panicked tonight while I was cooking on the Bar-BQ on the back deck tonight, something was in the swamp I grabbed the shot gun and put my rubber boots on but no luck. What was really strange is while I was down at the swamp the ducks went into the pen really early in a panic.
