Shooting at Imperial Courts Housing Projects in 2014 leaves one injured HD

At approximately 1:15 a.m., LAPD Officers Stronjy (32501) and Perez (38761), responded to a shooting at 11408 S. Grape Street. The officers observed a dark grey colored SUV driving without its headlights. Officers conducted an investigative traffic stop at 10702 S. Grape St. and arrested 3 suspects that had a .40 caliber handgun and a .45 caliber handgun in the car. The .40 caliber handgun was empty but was in "slide lock.". The .45 caliber handgun was loaded. The shooting occurred inside the Imperial Courts projects where teh PJ Watts Crips are located and the suspects were from the rival Grape Street Crips in the area of the Jordan Downs Projects. One person was struck in the leg. Three members of Grape Street Crips were arrested for this shooting.
